If you are interested in playing at the Blues Jam...

If you take a look at the playlist below, we have 10 different Blues standard tunes you can choose from.  If you are a solo player coming along to the jam, this will ensure that you can prepare for the night and know what to expect.

When you turn up on the night, just let us know your name, and which tune you'd like to play.  The backing band will know all the tunes, and then it's just a case of waiting your turn and having a jam.

What to bring:
As changeover times are critical, please bring the minimum of equipment.
We will have a tube amp available to play through, with a drive channel.
If you bring your guitar that will be enough.

So that we have an idea of what numbers to expect, we'd also appreciate it if you fill out the contact form to the right - just to let us know you plan to come.

Feedback about the jam night:

"Thank you for a brilliant evening. Really talented guitarists and some great blues numbers."
What people have said about the courses so far:
"A fantastic course, even the pure technique is fun. But progress must be made, which it is in abundance!   Encouraging tutors make you feel at ease playing in front of an audience of other players." - Anonymous feedback
"A well structured course, gives you something solid to work toward and you really notice the progression each week. Also, the jam element is helpful so you can put into practice what you learn by playing with others. I liked the atmosphere too, friendly and relaxed, the teaching is very clear and everybody is encouraged to get involved. Luke is very knowledgeable about music and has a genuine interest in the improvement of the students.

Having only done the technical training course the scale repetition can be a bit monotonous and in the beginning I would have said a little bit more improvisation exercise would have been good but its necessary training and I think the lead phrasing is where you really get to be more creative and learn to jam. I look forward to getting onto that one next and feel I now have a better basis to start from." - Anonymous feedback

"I would definitely recommend these courses to help improve your blues and general guitar technique." - Alex
"Luke and Jack have meticulously devised this complete 3 part rolling blues course.  No stone has been left unturned.  I like the way it runs on the blues principle 'let's just jam, man', but also it's highly structured with great tuition.  Run in pleasant surroundings.  It is a course I would highly recommend.  It doesn't matter your level you just slot straight in." - Simon
